Keeping up...

We've entered the blogosphere

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Okay, so I have been terribly slack with updating the website. It's just that it takes a lot more work to update a website than it should. If you're not the most technologically gifted person in the world. Which I'm not. Poor Matt... I wouldn't know how to turn on our tv if he hadn't given me 10 minutes of instruction. And I still get it so messed up sometimes I have to call him when he's not home and get instructions over the phone. Anyway, enough about my technological inadequacies.

I figured out it would be MUCH easier to post updates on the family in a blog. Typing one of these suckers is easy peesy since blogger does all of the work for me. So hopefully this will help with my slackness. And anyone can subscribe to the blog and get an email update when we post (hopefully I can get Matt in on the blogging) so no one has to keep visiting wondering if I've actually done an update - just click the link at the bottom of the post.

So here's what everyone really wants... An update.

Alexa is doing very well. Two weeks ago she weighed 12lbs when we went to the doctor. We went to the doctor because she was running a fever. When we had been for her 2 month appointment we'd talked to the dr about the amount of drool she has. He said drool can begin months before teething begins. So we figured it was early drool. But then two weeks later, she was running a fever, batting herself in the head, and getting very cranky. We took her in to get checked out. The doctor said she is in fact teething at 2 1/2 months. It's early. So early she can't hold her own teething ring in her mouth. But since Lisa and I were born with 2 front teeth each, it's not all together surprising.

So Matt and I are doing all we can to comfort her. Rubbing her gums seems to help. She especially loves daddy's fingers... When she's sitting on his lap watching football. She's already a fan!

So that's all I have for now...

Hey April! Cool site! It was nice to hear how things are going. Glad you all are doing well and that you got to get some reading in lately! :-) Hopefully, I'll 'see' you online again soon.

Take Care,
Cole
